Most of everything we do is skilled, and skilled activities are largely carried out effortlessly and automatically. System 1 is in charge of almost everything we do. They are expository fictions, and I write the book as a psychodrama between two fictitious characters. I should begin by saying that I don't believe they are really systems. ![]() Can you give an example of how System 1 and System 2 work?
